First Posting: An Introduction

I am ashish jain, and I created this account to write about my photography. I am maintaining another photoblog where I used to upload my photographs daily or weekly basis.

In each of my posting there is a theme for everything. So I decided to write onto it. I decided to share my view to the what I see and how I interprete !!!

My Biography:

My name is Ashish Jain, pursuing B.Tech. in the Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay, Mumbai, India. I am originally from Jodhpur. Being a frequent traveller, I have visited a lot more countries[USA, UK, Germany] but still didn’t get any chance to explore heaven of my own country[India].

Everyone have dreams to become something, and same I do. I would like to be India’s most selling advertising photographer. Though there is no connection with civil engineering to Photography. Recently, my work in portrait and nature photography have been recognized by Chicago Art Museum, USA & BBC World, UK.

For the past five years, experiencing nature and photographing her beauty has been my form of relaxation and spiritual fulfillment. My shots are quite diverse as those have been snapped at various locations and time, but am continually drawn to the stark beauty of the temples, buildings, and landscapes.

After all I like to do experimenting with my skills and surroundings. Living in IIT and traveling to various places provides many opportunities to further pursue my photographic interests. I am largely self taught in the photographic arts. My belief is that art is in every one, the only thing we need to explore it. I have found the best teacher of all though to be experience, and shooting on a consistent basis. I can’t think of a single photographic journey in which I haven’t learned some further nuance of the light and how it interacts with the world around me.
